I often have to look up where a city is in Germany, so I have created a cardfile which will give me the state, city, region and well as the longitude and latitude for any postcode in Germany. Also useful if you are trying to work out where your new pen pal is living - use google earth!

This cardfile lists the postcodes (equivalent of ZIP code)of Germany. Type in the postcode and obtain the following info:

State, Regierungsbezirk, Landkreis, City, Longitude, Latitude (for the Google-Earth Fans)

The software needed to open this file, Azz Cardfile, is shareware. You are welcome to try it out - downloadable version is fully functional.

Download and install AzzCardfile program first: azzcrd33c_setup.exe (1.69 MB)

1. Save (not Open) this file: German Postcodes.zip (514 KB)

2. Decompress (unzip) FILE.ZIP - will result in FILE.AZZ . Open this FILE.AZZ in AZZ Cardfile program.
