Reminders

March 15th, 2010 . by LVTurner

First post.
I would like to use AZZ Cardfile to track measurement equipment.  What I really would like to know is if there is any type of reminder feature that could be used to let me know when a specific piece of equipment needed calibration or preventative maintenance. The only thing I have come up with is to utilize the tab feature and place equipment that has a calibration due in April, under the April tab.  What I would really like is if there was an Outlook style reminder that came up that stated, cal due on a specific date.
Any advice would be appreciated and thanks,

LT

Reminders would be very useful addition.

I’ve been looking at several applications for storing notes and other info with ability to set reminders or alarms. AZZ Cardfile surpasses most other applications in this category for its flexibility.

I also used Outlook in the past to send notifications of calibrations due. Unfortunately, I had to create the notifications three times because they were deleted, presumeably by a problem in MS Exchange.

Hopefully a reminder or alarm function would be fairly easy to implement.

I have had cardfile.exe follow me through Windows 3.1 all the way though to Windows XP. Can I merge or use my data to an updated version.I have it on a memory stick and on other PC’s but would like to have it on another computer with Windows 7
