Will azzCardfile work on a 64 bit pc?
October 6th, 2009 . by chrishuberI have been putting off getting a new pc because I am stuck on the old windows Cardfile. I did some research and found this little goodie program that seems to do everything I want but I haven’t gotten my new pc yet and want to know if anyone is using it on a 64 bit operating system (Windows VISTA).
I have already ordered my new machine. But am waiting to purchase new cardfile software until I know for sure it will work on th 64 bit pc. Any advice will help.
Thanks so much,
I Succesfully ran azzCardfile 4.0 on my 64 bit HP HDX Premium series laptop by storing azzCardfile in C:/Programfiles (x86), then putting the cursor on azzCardfil.exe and right clicking and selecting Properties, then Compatibility mode, then Windows XP (service pack 2), then Apply, then OK.
I have gotten my new 64 bit Vista PC, and downloaded zaacardfile without any problems. It opened up easily and I imported my old windows cardfile data. Now I am happily using azzcardfile on my 64 bit Vista machine and looking forward to my Windows 7 upgrade. I’ll get back to let you know how that goes. Thanks for your support.
I’d like a confirmation from AZZ that this program (3.x) will work on windows 7 x64
Thanks
I have upgraded to Windows 7 on my 64 bit PC and everything works great. Go ahead, Bob, have fun on your 64 bit machine with Windows 7. (Vista works just as well).
I have been using the old win 3.1 address.crd right up to now on Windows XP. Will I be able to import the 300 card records from my current computer to my new Window 7 computer which arrives in a week or so?
