I love AZZ Cardfile, I’ve been using it for a long time now at least 4 years. It’s a great way to save bits of data, and information. I use it to keep information when I solve a computer problem, or information on links and places I’ve visited. I keep my client information in it. Now with the Beta it’s even easier to keep like items together.

I do own a registered copy, and I think I’ve only ever needed to contact support twice. Both times the reply times was short, and my issue was resolved.

Hmmm, I believe I got AZZ Cardfile when the old Windows 98 dispensed with MS Cardfile. Through your several updated versions of AZZ I’ve been a staunch supporter. Being a former librarian, I always enjoy keeping my personal information organized, and AZZ supports my eclectic interests. Until Hurricane Katrina destroyed my collection of movies, I had them indexed on AZZ. I submitted MY MOVIES index to the insurance company with my claim, and had no problem proving my loss. If I had the contents of my entire house indexed in a similar fashion, doubtless the whole claim would have been settled much faster.

My AZZ service issues were about the registration number as I changed computers. Support contacted me today within an hour after I asked for my code, so I could remove that “Unregistered” notation from the screen.

Just when I think you’ve created the “perfect” AZZ cardfile, you imagine an even more perfect version, and I must dig out the registration number again! Thank you for your good ideas and evolving software.

    Hi Rytis,
Your explanation about the Temp files getting destroyed hit the nail on the head. Seems I’ve been using a Norton Utilities to clean up my files and delete temp and ’suspect’ files quite often during the day to prevent infection from viruses. I’m sure some of those times were at the same times I was making changes in my AZZ file.
I’ll avoid the cleanups for a few days and see if that prevents the AZZ file prolems I was having.
Sounds like a good bet,I sure appreciate your quick analysis of the problem - I’ll let you know if your suggestion resolves it.
    Thanks again, Don

    Hi, Rytis,

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate AZZ. I have been using it for a number of years, and it is definitely one of the most valuable software products I own.

I use it to hold most of the bits of information and details of my personal and professional life, in a free-form format that is very easy to access and maintain.

I used to use a product called Tornado Notes, one of the first programs of this type. Over the years they added a lot of features and complexity which I didn’t need or want. When I found your program, I was happy to switch.

Your product also has the card index, which makes it really easy to find everything without having to search for cards by key words.

Product support has been very good. The couple of times I have written to you about a bug, I’ve received prompt personal responses. I’ve been able to help diagnose the conditions triggering the problem, and the problems have indeed been fixed in later releases.

I am eagerly awaiting version 4.0 - any news on when it will be ready?

    Thanks,

    — Wayne

My only “problem” with Azz Cardfile is… the fact that I’ve found this great product just several months ago (lol…)
Actually I’ve been looking for years for software doing just what Azz does but somehow missed it. I’ve tried a lot of other products but none made me happy - until I found Azz Cardfile!!
This product is no less than excellent! It does all I could ask for, it’s simple, and it works flawlessly with Hebrew (I live in Israel.)
Support is very good and quick too:)
Thank you Rytis, keep on the good work!

I’m a faithful AZZ card user and I promote your product on all my groups.

I do have a question… how is the Palm OS version coming along?

I would much prefer the AZZ method over the Notes or Memos that comes on my Palm. And I often work on on-going projects when I’m out and about, and having AZZ on my Palm would be so helpful.

Thanks for all your awesome work!

    Hugs,
    Cyn

    Cynthia,

sorry we do not plan to cover Palm OS or any other operating system in the foreseeable future. Only Windows OS.

    There is a workaround:

    1. Export all or selected (holding Ctrl) cards from AZZ data file to text file - use menu File -> Export -> Text file.

    2. Copy that plain text file to any mobile device into memo/notes/etc.. area.

There will not be AzzCardfile’s functionality, but at least you could read the data.

This is a robust little product. Glad to get away from mister softy’s little cardfile. I’m totally happy with this so far. Thanks AZZ !

I just built a new computer with Vista 64 and it wouldn’t run the old Windows 3.11 “Card File”.

Thanks to Google I found your site and downloaded the program. Whew! So far it’s great and I have my “numbers” back. I always liked Card File because it opened quick, took little screen space, and…

…What I’m still missing–a little shareware program called “Card Book” which allowed one to print a wallet sized booklet of the entire Card File database (like the “Little Black Book” people used to carry around).

Do you have any plans to add a similar feature to your program? I can send you a copy of the old Card Book program if it will help.

Thanks for enabling one to again use an very old database with the modern world of Vista. Windows 3.11 will never die, just mutate its programs to better ones like AzzCardFile

I’ve been satisfied with everything EXCEPT communication from AZZ. I submitted a rather large cardfile I had created and asked for free registration. I never heard back. I then added positive testimonials in two of my blogs and sent the URLs in requesting free registration. I never heard back.

The product is everything one could want from a cardfile. I’m just terribly, terribly disappointed with the so-called support

    Elizabeth,

I’ve submitted one cardfile. Not only didn’t I ask for free registration - I even wasn’t aware that I was entitled for one…
However Rytis wrote me offering the free registration. As I already was a registered user he was kind enough to let my son have it:)

I like AZZ very much myself and wouldnt do without it. I use it to store everything like passwords, to banking passwords and important phone numbers. I used to use cardfile in win 3.11 also.

I purchased my azz cardfile license for $12 in early 2003 after having used “Yourway” for a few years. I frequently refer to azz cardfile as my 2nd brain & simply cannot imagine life without it. It does a great job of managing all the trivial and not-so-trivial information aspects of life.
