AZZ Beta 4 - Protect File

December 4th, 2007 . by Irene

Hi,

I have tried a number of times to protect a file and AZZ does not request a password before opening the file, it just opens as normal.  Is the protect feature meant to request a password before opening the file or is it only to protect against changes to the file?  I have tried a number of variations and cannot successfully password the file.  AZZ is running from a flash drive.

Regards

Irene

    Hi Rytis,

Thanks for letting me know. I’m already using v4.0 but keep a backup of v3 files just in case. Hope the final release is not too far away. I’m using AZZ daily for both business and personal use. A great way to keep organised. Thank you for a highly useful software package.

This website still says “Final release of public version 4.0 is estimated around end of year 2007″ Now, 25 October 2008, there still seems to be no sign of it - could we have a revised estimate please. Personally I would welcome the oportunity to pay for this excellent software which has worked well ever since I installed it over a year ago. All it seems to lack is a working help file.
